In 3D Printing, we are looking for visionaries who are willing to push boundaries to help us rewrite the rules of 3D Printing. HP has ambitious goals for the next generation of connected, intelligent, digital manufacturing.  The hybrid cloud platform and applications we deliver to customers as part of our system experience and are the primary vehicle. As an Application Architect, you will own overall business application architecture strategy and provide technical leadership for a complex portfolio of initiatives and work directly with cross-functional business partners, platform architects and data management to develop end-to-end enterprise business solutions.  You have unsurpassed skill in a strong broad-based generalist background with specialized, proven experience to lead and work across multiple business functions to define and gain agreement on enterprise direction, integrations, and future state architectures. You are passionate about the digital manufacturing space and how the role of data and SW in decision making, a customer and design-centered focus, and the evolution of connected frameworks can transform the way the world manufactures. 


  • Develop end-to-end application architecture for 3D printing business applications by working across multiple business functions to define future state and gain consensus
  • Own the application architecture strategy, planning, and delivery perspective for responsible initiatives and programs
  • Understand the enterprise IT business systems, integration points and identify the right tool sets that’s most suited for current application footprint and future
  • Design and build solutions that increase business value using industry standard methodologies and scalable integration tools/platforms
  • Facilitate the evaluation and selection of tools and technologies to improve existing integration platform
  • Guide implementation/delivery team to ensure standard methodologies are communicated and practiced
  • Plan, coordinate, architect, and supervise all activities related to the integration of applications, and third-party solutions as required to meet the business requirements of the organization

Education and Experience

  • 10 years of demonstrable experience leading and crafting complex Integration projects with business applications
  • 5+ years of proven experience in IT development, architecture and business application development in complex environments

Knowledge and Skills

  • Experience implementing complex business applications or developing efficient effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Define and implement best practices for integrations with standard enterprise systems such as ERP and CRM
  • Information technology (IT) experience implementing complex IT applications or developing efficient effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems
  • Practical experience delivering end-to-end solution architectures
  • Must be organized, flexible & able to act independently, with ability to switch rapidly between different projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment 
  • Adept at collaborating within a matrixed environment 
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including written, public speaking, and small-group presentation skills, including ability to communicate effectively with core team, extended stakeholders and leadership
