Senior Subscriber Marketing Manager - HP Instant Ink

This position supports the HP Instant Ink program, a worldwide ink subscription business in the Printing Services and Solutions Organization.  Instant Ink and the expansion of printing services are top strategic priorities for HP Printing.

At HP Instant Ink, we’re passionate about delivering value and convenience to our customers.  As our business grows, we’re looking for an accomplished business manager to extend the value of the program for our subscribers with additional products, services and offers.  In this role you’ll build a robust understanding of our customers, craft strategies for delivering additional customer-valued offerings, and launch new products and services to our subscriber base.

To be successful you’ll need to have an entrepreneurial mindset, the ability to work with data to deliver customer insights, and strong business development skills.  Working with the customer retention manager and our product teams, you’ll have the opportunity to deliver breakthroughs in customer loyalty and shape the future of our business. Key objectives:

  • Develop comprehensive strategy for enhancing the value of Instant Ink program through additional offerings and benefits.  Concepts may include premium membership, access to discounts, and new products and services. 
  • Conduct research to evaluate and refine new program concepts.
  • Build internal and external partnerships to create and deliver new product and service concepts.  Negotiate terms with third parties as required.
  • Launch and manage performance of new products, services and programs.

Required skills and experience:

  • Customer passion and empathy – The customer is at the center of all your thinking, and you pride yourself in understanding the needs and motivations of customers at an intimate level.
  • Membership / loyalty marketing – An expert in understanding customers, you’ve created strategies and campaigns to drive revenue and engagement, ideally in a subscription-based business.
  • Business development skills –  You’ve built successful partnerships with third parties to meet customer needs and can build compelling business cases to demonstrate return on investment. 
  • Analytic capability – You are expert in using data to gain insight into customer behavior and explain category and campaign performance.  You can back your assertions with numbers and craft clear communications.
  • Business and performance management – You have proven experience in delivering results in a digital environment.  You’ve applied your keen business acumen to build detailed business plans and achieve targets.
  • Leadership – You are self-directed and drive toward your goals independently, partnering and pulling in resources to achieve your objectives.
  • College degree in Marketing/Business/Technical
  • 7 years of experience in product management, product marketing, business development and/or membership or loyalty marketing
