HP is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead the growth of its global SMB point-of-sale business. In this role, the candidate will develop the strategy to successfully bring new SMB-focused products into market and have a hands-on role in the sales and market share in this part of the market. They will develop strong consultative relationships with key partners, payment providers, dealers, distributors, influencers in the point of sale business and internal staff.


In this role, the candidate will develop, manage and nurture the small to medium business space for HP's point of sale business. Duties will include:

  • Develop global and local strategies to bring new products into market, through direct efforts and in collaboration with local sales and marketing staff
  • Conduct research and analysis of market opportunities
  • Work with internal marketing teams to define marketing strategies, and serve as the subject matter expert to develop content that appeals to target customers
  • Strategize and directly participate in efforts to recruit new partners, and help partners grow their SMB solution business with HP products
  • Participate in strategic planning processes with local sales teams to generate plans and initiatives.
  • Attend industry trade shows and conferences for educational, brand awareness and customer-recruitment purposes.


  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.  Advanced degree preferred.
  • A proven track record of building relationships with both internal team members and external partners
  • 8-10 years experience in business development, marketing or sales in the technology industry
  • Direct experience in the point of sale industry and\or payment processing industry strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal, written, communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills, maturity, good judgment, and be capable of communicating with a diverse range of companies and individuals
