The Software and Services team at HP is looking for an Interactive Designer to design compelling user-centered experiences. The role requires a strong interest in new technology and a passion for providing the best customer experience possible.This role will be responsible for creating experiences that will be used in web applications, mobile applications (iOS and Android), print and animation.

We work in a fast-paced, user-centric agile environment. We embrace change and always look to see how we can improve what we do and how we do it.

An updated portfolio is required for consideration.

Responsibilities:

Designing experiences that fulfill the solution requirements provided by product management

Work closely with product management team to present ideas and designs effectively

Work with the Visual Designers, Framework developers and front end developers to make sure both teams understand HOW an item will be developed

Be a part of the technical transition meeting to development

Deep understanding of agile and other development processes and methodologies

Create flows, sketches, personas, prototypes, wireframes and deliverables that guide the implementation of our proposals

Education and Experience Required:

  • 5+ years software design experience
  • 10+ years design experience
  • BS degree in Design, Human Computer Interaction or other design related field

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Expert level: Sketch
  • Expert level: prototyping tool
  • Expert level knowledge: information architecture
  • Expert level knowledge: design processes, sketching, wireframes
  • Expert level knowledge: web design and user experience, including accessibility
  • Expert skills with User-Centric Design methods
  • Experience creating responsive interfaces is a plus
  • Experience with User Research.
  • Strong background with Data-driven design practice
  • Ability to communicate to all levels of users (internal and external), strong problem-solving skills, adaptable, proactive, willing to take ownership and to manage ambiguity
