Research and Development Workstation Software Developer Internship

This position requires working full-time at the Fort Collins, Colorado site during the summer of 2018.  

This is a technical position located in the R&D lab of the Workstations Division.

The candidate will work with the Workstation Software team writing code to create and maintain tools that validate and/or certify various performance on HP’s Desktop and Mobile Workstations.

Specific programming tasks may include contributing to existing C++ programs or writing tests to validate existing tools. Candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and expand his or her knowledge of software engineering by taking part in design discussions, requirements gathering and implementation.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Four-year university student currently in Junior year
  • Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related major
  • Experience outside classwork/projects writing code or prior SW development internships
  • Some programming expertise C/C++ or similar
  • Scripting language (e.g. Python, Shell scripting)  
  • OS: Windows, Linux (Suse, RedHat, Ubuntu) is a plus
  • Understanding of Modern Computer Architecture (e.g. memory, PCI, processor architecture) with a desire to learn more
