The BioPrint business, inside HP’s Specialty Printing Systems business is one new Life Science business that HP has already launched. We develop and sell dispensing products that leverage HP’s world-class inkjet printing technology.  

Position Overview:

The Materials Science Engineer for SPS’s BioPrint business willworkasan integralteam memberwithin the product and business development team.You willbe a key member of the R&D team,responsibleforworking with other multi-disciplinary R&D engineersto expand current product application space, develop new products for adjacent and newmarkets, and to solve customer problems. This position will provide some opportunity for externally focused work with partners and end-user customers. This position offers the opportunity to leverage your knowledgeandexpertiseinareassuch as materials science/biomaterials, mechanical design, biochemistry and biology, statistics for data analysis and design of experiments and to contribute to a new and growing business inside HP Inc.


Develop and execute experiments that characterize the performance of HP products.

Complete product system-level testing to ensure specifications are being met.

Carry out laboratory work independently and with the support of other technical staff.

Document test plans and experimental results and present to team at regular team meetings.

Complete product design work in relevant areas, including possibly mechanical design and printhead microfluidics design.

Propose and establish technical feasibility of potential new applications that leverage the business’ core technology.
