Job Description

As a member of the Automation Engineering team, you will assume responsibility to investigate, define and implement tooling and automation used in the Semiconductor Fab.

Tasks may include:

Developing automation for Semiconductor equipment, and hardware/software tools and processes, support and maintain existing systems.
Participating in projects and teams effectively across departments and organizations, to develop, implement and consult on factory systems solutions.
Maintain expertise and practical knowledge of customers' business and systems needs as they evolve. Utilize analytical skills to develop software/hardware system specifications and customer requirements, helping translate to appropriate solution(s). System debugging and troubleshooting, hardware qualification and testing, design characterization and release to production. Participate with worldwide partners and vendors to ensure good communication & documentation for all aspects of the design. Occasional travel and participation to support the production operations or customer installations during off-hours may be required.

Candidate must relocate to Corvallis, Oregon area. Relocation expenses to be negotiated.



B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related engineering discipline or equivalent degree.

Software development and de-bugging skills

Fluency in English

Ability to solve technical problems in a fast-paced product development environment

Ability to work & interact effectively with team members & individuals from other disciplines, projects, organizations, divisions, & companies

Knowledge and use of object oriented programming

Understanding of software development lifecycle, from conception, through obsolescence.

Demonstrated leadership, teamwork/interpersonal, communication and analytical/technical skills.


Two or more years experience

Knowledge of JAVA, JAVA Swing, C#, programming

Knowledge of semiconductor fab and discrete-assembly manufacturing.

Automated tool programming and real-time control.
Machine vision systems.

IOT experience

Database experience
Understanding of message bus functionality.

SEMI standards GEM, SECS2.
PC hardware and software, in support of tool and test equipment development.
